Tragic Fire at Delhi Children’s Hospital Claims Lives of Seven Babies

The Indian capital of New Delhi is home to a children’s hospital, and on Saturday, a big fire broke out there, killing at least seven babies, according to NDTV.

An infant care center in the East Delhi neighborhood of Vivek Vihar was the scene of a fire, according to a call received by Delhi Fire Services at 11:32 p.m. Fifteen firemen or more hurried to the scene.

While seven babies passed away while undergoing care at the hospital, at least 12 babies were saved from the building’s first floor, according to authorities.

The hospital is treating the five who are still there.

The origin of the fire is yet unknown to the authorities. The hospital’s owner is the target of a lawsuit.

In a different instance, early on Sunday morning, a fire broke out at a residential structure in Krishna Nagar, Delhi, leaving at least three persons dead.

Chief of Delhi Fire Services Atul Garg stated that the incident was brought under control by 7:20 am, having been reported to them at 2:35 am.

“A total of 13 people were rescued, but three were declared dead,” according to him.

Nine children and twenty-seven adults perished in a large fire that started at a gambling area in Rajkot, Gujarat, earlier on Saturday.
