According to the Miami New Times, eager fans of the former president of the United States were promised free lunch, but they were left in the dark when he left a Miami restaurant without paying the bill.
On Tuesday, just after being charged with 37 counts of mishandling sensitive material, Trump stopped by Versailles, a Cuban restaurant in Miami. Trump entered a not-guilty plea to all charges, including the 31 that fell under the Espionage Act.
Trump supporters flocked to the Cuban eatery in droves to celebrate his birthday and show their support. On Wednesday, Trump turned 77.
Trump made the “food for everyone” pledge to his followers who had congregated at the Versailles during this time, according to the Miami New Times, only to leave the restaurant after ten minutes.
According to a source who spoke to the Miami New Times, Trump’s fans hardly had time to place any orders because of his quick departure.
