More than 16,000 people have died in Turkey and Syria, local authorities and rescue workers have said, reports Al Jazeera.
12,873 people have lost their lives in Turkey, the country’s disaster agency reported.
1,262 people have died in Syria’s government-controlled areas, the country’s health officials said.
At least 1,900 others have died in opposition-held territories in Syria, the White Helmets rescue group said.
