Turkey-Syria quake: Missing Bangladeshi student rescued, finally

A Bangladeshi student named Mohammad Golam Sayed from Bogura had gone missing during the Monday’s Turkey-Syria earthquake. As his family members could not contact him, they were in immense fear.

His friends in Turkey confirmed over the phone that Sayed was rescued around 9:30pm on Tuesday. He is now undergoing treatment in a hospital over there, reports our Bogura correspondent. 

Sayed, son of Golam Rabbani of Deonai village in Kagail of Bogura’s Gabtoli upazila went to Turkey for higher study in 2015. 

As a student of the Geography Department at Kahramanmaraş University, he completed his graduation last Saturday, but the result has not been published yet.

His younger brother Golam Rasul Rifat said that Sayed used to live in a building of the southern Kahramanmaraş province in Turkey.
