Muhammad Yunus has been congratulated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on taking up the role of chief advisor to the temporary administration.

In response to the current flooding in the nation, he has also promised the humanitarian assistance of his government.

As the natural disaster in Bangladesh continues, the Turkish president committed to support Bangladesh when he spoke with the chief advisor over the phone on Tuesday, according to state-run news agency BSS.

Along with his sympathies, he mentioned the loss of lives and property in the areas that were flooded.

Erdoğan also mentioned dispatching a high-ranking delegation to support Bangladesh’s rebuilding efforts.

Afterwards, Yunus received an invitation from the president to travel to Turkey. After expressing gratitude for the invitation, Yunus promised to pay him a visit whenever it would be convenient.
