The United Kingdom has warned citizens against traveling to Bangladesh around the BNP rally in Dhaka on December 10.
This warning was announced in a statement on the website of the British Foreign Office on Tuesday.
The warning said that there is a fear of a clash between leaders and activists with law enforcers around the political rally in Dhaka.
There may be disruptions to public transport, communication systems, and city traffic. There may be a heavy presence of law and order forces in Dhaka for a few days before and after the rally.
So they are advised to avoid political gatherings and large gatherings.
According to the British Foreign Office, approximately one and a half million citizens of the United Kingdom travel to Bangladesh every year. In most cases, this is not a problem.
