Saturday morning in the Shyampur neighborhood of Dhaka, two construction workers perished after falling from a structure that was still under construction.
Rabbi, 18, the son of Abbas Ali, and Mohammad Rabbi, 22, the son of Md. Liton, were named as the deceased. Both were natives of Tangail’s Ghatail upazila.
Around 10:00 am, the event took place at the Postogola area textile factory’s under-construction building.
A deceased coworker’s colleague claimed that while standing on the second story, the two were removing the rooftop shuttering alongside other workers.
They stumbled out of nowhere and hit the ground. He claimed that they were taken by ambulance to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where they later passed away as a result of their wounds.
The bodies were kept in the DMCH morgue for autopsies, said police.
