The following teams have qualified for the University Rover Challenge (URC) 2023 finals: Mongol-Tori from BRAC University (BRACU), Team Interplanetar from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Mongol Barota from Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), and Mars Rover from United International University (UIU).
104 teams signed up for the competition this year by submitting a System Acceptance Review (SAR) earlier in the year. 37 teams advanced to the finals from the group. On May 31 and June 1 of 2023, the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in Utah will host the URC 2023 Finals.
The Mars Society, an international non-profit organization, is behind the University Rover Challenge (URC). The Mars rover “MAVEN” from UIU placed 13th out of 36 global finalists and first among Asian nations at URC 2022 the previous year.
