The Awami League is not concerned by the US visa restrictions because they were not placed on any specific party, according to Agriculture Minister Muhammad Abdur Razzaque.
After meeting with Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen at the ministry’s Secretariat, he gave a briefing and declared, “It’s a message for all.”
According to him, any political parties that obstruct democracy and unconstitutional forces will be subject to the US visa ban. Razzaque noted that in 2014, several political parties attempted to thwart the democratic process.
He said, “I think BNP, Jatiya Party, and others would take part in the election.” In response to a query, he stated that the problem is being prioritized by the government. He declared, “We’ll do our part to defend democracy.”
