Taqseem A. Khan, the managing director of WASA, will be investigated by the Anti-Corruption Commission for his wealth in the US.
“Regarding his wealth in the US, we will write to the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU). The BFIU will take more actions,” the ACC chairman told the media.
According to two different accusations made to the ACC, Taqseem, who has been the MD of WASA for 13 years, allegedly accumulated enormous amounts of money illegally and purchased 14 homes in the US, reports the Daily Samakal.
The ACC is currently looking at Taqseem in three different ways. The ACC chairman said there is no need to open a new investigation, adding that the new allegations will be added to the present inquiries.
