On the occasion of the historic Six-Point Day, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid homage to the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
She stood in solemn stillness after she laid a wreath at the image of Bangabandhu.
Also laying wreaths at the portrait were senior Awami League leaders.
Based on the six-point demand, known as the Magna Carta of the Bangalees, Bangabandhu started a huge protest on June 7, 1966, against the Pakistanis’ oppressive authority.
During the hartal, ten people were killed, including Manu Mian, a labor leader, Shafique, and Shamsul Haque.
