Bangladesh Bank has created a commemorative note of Tk 50 to honor the occasion of the launch of Metrorail in Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina revealed the commemorative note when the eagerly anticipated project was inaugurated.
The note will be available for pickup at Bangladesh Bank’s Motijheel office starting on December 29 and then at other branches, according to a press release from the BB.
It features a portrait of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with a metro rail background on one side and a photo of a metro rail on the other.
According to the release, the commemorative note, signed by Md Abdur Rouf Talukder, governor of the Bangladesh Bank, would cost Tk 50 without an envelope and Tk 100 with an envelope and folder.
