At the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur today, Bangladesh dismantled Nepal 3-0 to reclaim the SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship title.
Shaheda Akter Ripa and captain Shamsunnahar scored two goals in the first half within a span of four minutes.
And Unnoti Khatun added the game’s deciding goal in the 87th minute in front of a cheering home crowd.
With their fourth championship in eight competitions, the team further cemented their domination in women’s age-group football in the South Asian region with the victory.
