Israel’s minister of defense declared on Sunday that his nation was prepared for any eventuality following Iran’s warning of retaliation for the April 1 killings of Iranian generals.
On Sunday, a semi-official news outlet released a graphic depicting weaponry that it said could strike Israel, and an Iranian official declared that Israeli embassies were not safe.
The readiness evaluation was released by the office of Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant following an “operational situation assessment” he conducted with top military officers.
A graphic showcasing nine distinct Iranian missile types that the semi-official ISNA news agency claims are capable of hitting Israel was released on Sunday.
Israel has not acknowledged that it was responsible for the Damascus attack. More broadly, its leaders have stated that they are fighting Iran, which supports the militant organizations Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza, both of whom have been at war with Israel for the last six months.
Additionally, the US is bracing for a potential Iranian attack on US or Israeli interests in the area and is on high alert.
Authorities in Argentina, Israel, and the United States have accused Iran of being responsible for the 1994 bombing of a Jewish center in the country’s capital, which resulted in 85 fatalities. Tehran has refuted any participation in the incident.
