Metropolis Report –

On Sunday night, Bangladesh began sending workers to the Russian shipbuilding sector, opening a new door for skilled individuals to find employment abroad. At 1.40 AM, the first group of 24 Bangladeshi workers flew from Dhaka to Moscow to begin their shift. In addition, nine people are preparing to leave for the job site soon.

Through the only state-run employment agency, Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL), the laborers were engaged by a Russian shipbuilding enterprise.

To achieve this, BOESL and the Russian shipbuilding firm recently inked a memorandum of understanding.

According to BOESL officials, Bangladeshi shipbuilders will have an excellent opportunity to find employment with the market’s opening up since this developed country requires foreign labor in this industry.

The cost of each worker’s migration, including the recruitment agency’s fees, would be roughly Tk 65000. Airfare will be covered by the employer.

About Tk 50,000 will be the salary. In Bangladesh, a large number of individuals work in the shipbuilding sector. Additionally, many professional individuals with training in marine technology are graduating from various institutions. Therefore, insiders claim that it is a wonderful opportunity for them.

Bangladesh has a total of six marine technology institutes, offering a significant number of aspirants training on skill development every year.
